Mount Up

About

In the beginning of 2021 I picked up the electric guitar again after a very long break (almost 7 years) in which I played and wrote music only on the acoustic. In fact, the idea for the main rhythm and riff of this song were originally written one the acoustic exactly one year ago in the end of July 2020. This song is a personal reminder not to get self-forgetful again and to mark a comeback with the electric guitar.

Lyrics

[Verse 1]

Worked up, a peg too low

I took a hard line with myself to rectify

and try lay a cornerstone

This ain't no... lame duck, off the track

Is that clinging? I don't wanna cling thing, no

Switch lanes! Would not head off owned

Oh, would not head off owned

[Chorus]

Hold up! I leveled up!

Living in a one hot sitch, bone up

I said "Hold up! I leveled up again..."

One way and I'm on the way

I set. I rev. Mount up! (x2)

Wo-oh, I leveled up again

Mh-m, I leveled up again

[Verse 2]

Made up my mind to go

and be myself for once, no comply

Far cry from a comfort zone

No more... turn back on a setback

There is no quitting, if I ain't fitting, no

Switch out! Moving beyond doubt

I'm moving beyond doubt

[Chorus]

Hold up! I leveled up!

Living in a one hot sitch, bone up

I said "Hold up! I leveled up again..."

One way and I'm on the way

I set. I rev. Mount up! (x2)

Wo-oh, I leveled up again

Mh-m, I leveled up again

[Solo 1]

[Chorus]

Hold up! I leveled up!

Living in a one hot sitch, bone up

I said "Hold up! I leveled up again..."

One way and I'm on the way

I set. I rev. Mount up! (x2)

Wo-oh, I leveled up again

Mh-m, I leveled up again

[Solo 2]
